Itinerary
At the time of your choice, meet at the main gate of Moulay Idriss High School, where your guided tour of Fez will begin. You’ll discover the hidden monuments tucked away within the narrow streets of the Medina. Welcome to the cultural capital of Morocco!

The tour starts with a visit to the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the main entrance to the Medina of Fez. You’ll then walk to the Al-Attarine Madrasa, one of the main Quranic schools where students used to live and study. Nearby, you’ll discover the Bou Inania Madrasa and visit its interior, adorned with stucco walls, carved wood, and geometric mosaic tiles. A true architectural gem!

Next, continue your walk along the famous Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira streets. These major commercial arteries are home to several historical monuments that you’ll discover along the way. Did you know that the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss is one of the holiest places in the Medina? You’ll soon find out why!

The next stop will be in front of the Al Karaouine Mosque. At its entrance, you’ll learn about one of Fez’s greatest architectural complexes, famous for housing the oldest university in the world. You’ll then continue wandering through the Medina in search of traditional Souks and ancient squares where time seems to have stood still — and you’ll even come across an Andalusian quarter!

No visit would be complete without discovering the city’s oldest tannery: Sidi Moussa. You’ll then reach Seffarine Square, where one of Fez’s oldest crafts is still preserved today: the work of the traditional coppersmiths.

After three hours, this guided tour of Fez will end at R’cif Square.
