In the aftermath of his election to the House of Representatives, Mohamed Ameur renewed contact with the population of his Fès-Nord electoral district, where he met voters, supporters, and all those who aspire to change.
In this context, he made several visits to both banks of the old Medina where he paid attention to the grievances of the inhabitants, people he thanked warmly for their support and their massive adherence in favour of change. A population that lives with contradictions on a daily basis in an ever-increasing precariousness, while experiencing a high crime rate, an increasingly degraded environment, all in a part of the city of Fès classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Yet, this universal title is supposed to benefit several sectors.
In a first step and with the same enthusiasm, Ameur went to meet the militants, activists, and inhabitants of the Mérinides electoral district, which lives in practically the same social conditions, if not worse. Thus, he established a direct relationship with the people and inquired about the real problems they are experiencing, notably with houses threatening to collapse, which record alarming figures in the absence of any proximity policy.
The dialogue also highlighted the problems of basic infrastructure: drinking water with permanent cuts, increasingly degraded roads, as well as youth unemployment and delinquency.
Mohammed Ameur visited the Marja, Zouagha, and Bensouda neighbourhoods, areas whose inhabitants voted in favour of this USFP candidate known for his intellectual and militant capital.
In the process, Mohamed Ameur, who was surrounded during each visit by a handful of militants, committed to defending and contributing to the development of these parts of the city on the socio-economic, cultural, and health levels.
