The "Startup Weekend"

Organised by the Moroccan Association for the Promotion of Computer Engineering (AMPII) in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Fès, this entrepreneurial event, considered a project accelerator, will take place at the Fès Innovation City on 15, 16, and 17 June.

It consists of bringing together, over a weekend, project leaders with a startup idea, more or less advanced, regardless of their profile, age, or profession, and entrepreneurship professionals, with a single common goal: to work together, share experiences, and create their startup in the space of 54 hours. The kick-off for this meeting is given by the "Pitch Fire", where project leaders present their idea to the assembly to gather multidisciplinary teams of volunteers around their concept. Throughout the weekend, the dream teams thus formed will have to work hard, with the help and advice of experts in marketing, finance, the web, and innovation. On the last day of the Startup Weekend, the teams present their project to the jury to win the title of best project of the weekend. The project(s) designated as winners by the jury win the support offers negotiated by the organisers with partner professionals. Lawyers specialising in startups, financial advisors, chartered accountants, web agencies, and web hosting companies—all these support services will help the winning team succeed in launching its startup. In parallel, conferences and feedback from professionals will be organised during the Startup Weekend to allow participants to stay in the right frame of mind and answer the questions that many of them ask themselves.
