A significant quantity of smuggled goods, with a value of 1.43 million dirhams, was seized on Sunday in Fes, according to a customs source.
These smuggled goods, imported from China, consist mainly of branded clothing and high-end items for men and women (handbags, watches, shoes, glasses), it was specified.
These items, belonging to the same individual, were discovered in an apartment located in the Saâda district during a successful inspection operation carried out by customs officers in Fes in coordination with the judicial police, the same source added.
This operation, which took place under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office, is part of the efforts deployed to combat smuggling, protect consumers, and fight against unfair competition that harms many sectors of the national economy.
