The Fès city council met on July 25 in an ordinary session with the programming of the surplus from the districts' management account for 2011 and the reallocation of district credits falling under the urban commune of Fès for the 2012 financial year on the agenda. This session was thus marked by the allocation of 5MDH in credits for the construction of new municipal swimming pools in different districts of the city. This budget results from the programming of 3MDH as a budgetary surplus for the 2011 financial year, in addition to the reallocation of 2MDH in credits from the equipment budget. Furthermore, within the framework of the reallocation of district credits, a sum of 400,000 DH was devoted to technical studies relating to the construction of the new swimming pools, while the budget of 2,600,000 DH will be used for the realisation of other socio-economic and sports projects. These notably include water supply, electricity connection, and sanitation work for a cost of 700,000 DH, the construction of a tanners' market (420,000), the Foundouk Seffarine (180,000), and sports halls (800,000), as well as the payment of an amount of 500,000 DH to the "Jnane Sbile" group of local authorities in Fès. It was also decided, during this session of the Fès city council, to grant a subsidy of 1.5 MDH to each of the two football clubs in Fès (Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès-MAS and Widad Athletic de Fès-WAF). This session was also marked by the acceptance of a donation of 5M DH granted to the urban commune.
