The Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University (USMBA) of Fès has just been enriched with a Science Museum, which will be officially inaugurated on June 12 at the headquarters of the University presidency. Dedicated mainly to science and technology, this museum aims to promote scientific research at the USMBA, promote and preserve the cultural and natural heritage of the Kingdom, strengthen the University's position as a hub of cultural and scientific activities in the city of Fès, as well as the intellectual development of civil society. The Fès Science Museum thus presents objects related to life and earth sciences, astrophysics, and other sciences. It also houses collections that testify to the great heritage wealth of Morocco. These collections are divided into several categories, notably the history of the cosmos and the universe recorded in the Earth, the genotheque of all rocks present in nature, ancient and modern maps, or even the great geological evolutions of the planet. The museum also presents collections of the rarest minerals in nature, bones and traces of dinosaurs, marine and continental fossils, vertebrates and invertebrates that lived in Morocco, in addition to collections of the fauna and flora of our country. Furthermore, the USMBA Science Museum of Fès will offer numerous scientific experiments and virtual open-air tours and will also constitute a place of discovery in which exchanges of culture and technology will take an important place.
