Morocco-Africa Grand Conference on tourism in Fez

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) will organise a Morocco-Africa grand conference on tourism next May in Fez, in order to establish lasting economic relations with the various countries of the African continent. This event, which will be held in partnership with the National Tourism Confederation (CNT), will bring together directors of Tourism Offices, presidents of travel agency federations and hotel federations, as well as all professionals in the sector from Morocco and other countries in the region, the Office indicates in a press release. The meeting will aim to facilitate contact between tourism operators from each country, to establish a roadmap to strengthen cooperation in terms of tourism in the region and to develop tourist flows between Morocco and the various countries of Africa, notably in terms of business, medical and cultural tourism. "This event is intended to be a place for exchange and pooling of the tourism expertise of African countries. The objective, in the long term, being to develop tourist flows between Morocco and Africa, given that the countries of West and Central Africa represent a market of more than 250 million consumers," explained the director general of the ONMT, Abderrafia Zouitene, quoted by the press release.
