Fire at Bab Semarine in Fez

Several dozen shacks used for commercial purposes were destroyed by a fire that broke out on the night of Monday to Tuesday in the Bab Semarine district in Fez, but without causing any casualties, we learned from local authorities.

The fire, the causes of which remain undetermined for the moment, started around 02:00, and the fire spread rapidly due to flammable materials, the same sources specify. The Civil Protection mobilized significant human and material resources to overcome the flames.

An investigation has been opened to determine the exact causes of the disaster.
